The world now relies on Humanitarian leadership to fight poverty, disasters
and other conditions of that call for humanitarian input. An effective
humanitarian organization is essential to achieving sustainable
socioeconomic development as well as welfare of the community. With the
advent of globalized humanitarian conditions, there are growing pressures
on inter-governmental organizations and humanitarian organizations
around the world to be more responsive to the demands of internal and
external stakeholders for good governance, accountability and
transparency in relation to humanitarian organizations. This is so for the
sake of need to achieve greater development effectiveness, and delivery of
tangible results. Thus it is now imperative that Governments, public
governance institutions like parliaments, individual citizens, the private
sector, nongovernmental organizations (NGOs), civil society, international
organizations, and donors are among the stakeholders interested in better
performance of the Humanitarian sector through effective humanitarian
leaderships. As demands for greater accountability and real results have
increased, there is an attendant need for enhanced result-based

programs and projects.
Hence, Humanitarian leadership and Management is increasingly
